After making stunning crime thrillers like ‘Satya’, ‘Sarkar Raj’ and ‘Company’, Ram Gopal Varma is back with a bang on the same genre. The film titled ‘Raktha Charithra’ features Vivek Oberoi and Tamil actor Surya in lead roles. Madhu Mantena and Sheetal Vinod Talwar are jointly producing the film in three different languages under the banner of Cinergy Productions.

The film is based on the real life of the Andhra Pradesh gangster turned politician Parithala Ravi performed by Vivek Oberoi while Surya does his opponent role as Maddelacheruvu Suri respectively. Mohan Babu, the famous yesteryear actor of Tollywood does the role of NTR.

Speaking about the film Ram Gopal Varma said, “I have made more research on the real life character of Ravi by interviewing his followers and his rival Maddela Cheruvu Suri. Of course, there are also some fictional characterizations. The film’s shooting kick-starts today in Hyderabad.

The film will be made in two parts titled ‘Raktha Charithra-1’ and ‘Raktha Charithra-2’ that will release in a gap of three months.Manisharma scores music for the film.
