Eating your way to good health need not mean eating boring or bland food...

Coffee: Apparently drinking filtered coffee could reduce risk of dementia and Alzheimer by upto 60%.

Dark chocolate: New research shows that with a daily dose of dark chocolate (about 25-28g) you can improve your skin texture and get smoother healthier skin. Drinking chocolate milk (with no sugar and fat free milk) everyday could actually reduce your risk of heart disease. So now you have a great excuse to eat your favourite food!

Popcorn: the favourite accompaniment to a movie is actually good for digestion! This snack is rich in insoluble fibre, which helps keep your digestive system moving which can reduce your chances of getting diverticular disease which is a painful inflammation of the intestine.

Red wine helps rinse teeth of bacteria and helps gums fight against bacterial infection. Not only that- it could actually help keep your heart healthy! Red wine is also known to keep your arteries free of clogging and keep you slim too. So drink a glass a day!  

Spices: A little spice in your food could help inhibit tissue damage caused by high levels of blood sugar, minimise the damages caused by aging, and block the formation of harmful compounds that are associated with ageing. Reason enough to add a little spice in your life!

Tomato sauce: The fight against cancer just got more delicious. Recent research shows that lycopene found in tomato sauce, may protect against breast cancer. It also is said to shield skin from cancer causing sun damage.

Yogurt: eating plenty of yogurt helps reduce cholesterol, protects from urinary infections and helps absorb calcium in the body.
