Check out the “cool†hangout this summer…
Most people are familiar with the Russian Cultural centre just off Cathedral Road. It’s hard to miss this cozy café, nestled within these premises, with wizened trees overlooking it watchfully.
The spacious café is in the heart of town, but serene and quiet, away from the city buzz. The ambience echoes a rustic outdoor finish with a Western charm, surrounded by artistic chimneys, designed by Sridhar. For those who love their air-conditioned comfort, they have a spacious dine-in next to the open air café. Large screens dominate the restaurant, where you can watch sport or music shows as you enjoy the good food.
The Evo menu offers everything a regular café offers: burgers, sandwiches, coffees, juices and frothy cappuccinos and lattes. But it also offers desi dosas, piping hot idlis and a variety of chutneys. Like European cafes, they also offer the day’s special. Prices are very affordable, as the throngs of college crowd testifies.
Evo does not offer only food and ambience. It also offers a place to rehearse plays, party, jamming sessions, music performances and more. Their tag line “Unmask Yourself†says it all, as the hip and happening Chennai crowd lets its hair down on a sultry summer evening.
