What happens When three great musicians from across the world team together to play creative jazz music? Music Lovers are kept wanting for more.

This is what happened when The Three Amigos of Jazz enthralled Chennai`s audience on August 14, 2008 at the Alliance Francaise auditorium, which simply overflowed with people.

Sharik Hasan(piano), Adrian D`Souza(drums) and Karl Peters(bass) played some mind blowing music. Pieces which were filled with lots of energy which connected with the audience. They played some of their own compositions, and some jazz pieces of the great masters.

Sharik was inspired to write a piece after he was mugged while traveling by the Noctilien-The Night Bus in Paris. His Song for the wicked was wicked by itself. Adrian was great on the drums. His facial expressions caught the attention of the audience. The trio also played a composition by Adrian. Trane like, All the things you are, The song is you, stella and joint steps were some of the other pieces they played for the evening.

Karl Peters one of India`s greatest Bass Guitarist and the older of the trio said "It does not matter what genre of music you play, as long as you play creative music people will listen to it. Good music should connect with the soul and send out good energy."

The audience was so mesmerised by the music played that the Three Amigos of Jazz got a standing ovation as they took their final bow. But the audience requested for encores and would not let them leave. They played one last piece before forcing themselves to bid goodbye to a great audience.

As Adrian said "The crowd in Chennai is very open to the music we played and the standing ovation truly overwhelmed us. What more can an artist ask for?"
