Like a fish out of the water, my mind was jumping between a YES and a No on attending this event

The French Kiss Tour!!!! Sounds very exciting does'nt it ? My colleagues in our organization, www.findnearyou.com, had been to Alliance Francaise for a discussion and had come to know of this event. Even though the pass said that this was a music festival, I was bewildered by the name given to it? Uh!! Should I go or refrain from going? Would this be worth the time spent or would be one of the days where I at the end of the day wonder how could I manage to spend my time in such a silly way. Nevertheless my mind took my legs there to check out what is in store.

The event was organised by Alliance francaise and the French Embassy and started sharp at 7 p.m at the Vidyodaya school T. Nagar with fans slowly trickling in .The audience comprised expats, College Students, IT professionals and the enthusiastic lifestyle crowd and they seemed to me as though they are very regular for these kind of shows First on the dias was a performance by Videep and Nanditha of ?No Idea Group. Contrary to the name, he seemed to have quite an idea of what he was doing !! He was accompanied by his musicians and the next 90 minutes saw some feet tapping music. The crowd continued to swell and as the time went by the feet tapping turned to dancing. The amusement and fun created in the first spell of the music rain made me crave for more?. How stupid of me to even think that I would be wasting my time.

Just as I was trying to leave back for home after having my soul filled with some fun and frolic, the announcement that the French party led by Mademoiselle would hold centre stage for the next 90 minutes held me back to check out how they would turn out to be and lo!!! .All my hunger and my promises at home to be early just disappeared in a jiffy?. It was fantabulous!!! Such was the stamina, such was the spirit, such was the commitment & dedication which the team had that the whole crowd inadvertently moved forward from their seats towards the well of the auditorium. It was a treat to also watch a delighted crowd dancing, singing, screaming and overall thoroughly enjoying every second of the performance.the end of it, my heart was heavy with the feeling that the musical extravaganza had come to an early end (at around 10 pm !!) and believe me, I could not feel even a pinch of hunger thanks to these great performers who had made my evening a memorable one and eagerly await the next?..
