Feeling tired? Not able to concentrate at work? Yearning for romance? Suffering from insomnia? Wish to attract wealth? Want to boost your confidence? Wish you would become more tactful? Or do you just want to dress up for a special occasion? There is a gemstone out there to fulfill all your needs.
Although gems are rare and exhibit great beauty, one of the reasons they are so precious is due to the belief that they impart certain powers to their wearers. In the past Kings and Queens had gemstones set in their crowns to obtain their highest potential as rulers.
One of the most prized gem stone, the Diamond symbolizes purity and commitment, as we all know. It is said to enhance a husband’s love for his wife which is why it is often used in engagement rings. But did you know that wearing diamond earrings could protect you against cell phone emanations?
Generally most people think diamonds when they think engagements rings, but an Emerald would also be apt as it symbolizes immortality and faith.
Sapphire is known as wisdom stone. It comes in various colors-blue, yellow, green and purple each colour bringing in its own brand of wisdom. This stone releases depression and spiritual confusion.
The Ruby is a much revered stone in India that is believed to impart a passion for life but never in a self destructive way. It improves motivation and helps a person to set realistic goals. The ruby frequently is given as a gift in celebration of the birth of a daughter.
Equally prized for their magical properties are semi precious stones. The healing powers of Amethyst date back as far as the ancient Greeks who believed that amethyst protected from the intoxicating effects of alcohol.
Tiger’s eye is protective stone that since ancient times has been worn as a talisman against evil eye and curses. It is said that Roman soldiers used to carry tigers eye with them in the battlefield for protection.
Missing love in your life? Rose quartz is the stone you should be wearing. From ancient times Rose Quartz is considered as a symbol of ‘unconditional love’ and beauty.
Jade increases love and nurturing which makes it an ideal gift for your loved ones or for new parents.
According to Crystal Healers and New Age believers, gems are said to have the power of the earth's energies inherent in them. They believe that gemstones can be used for treatment of everything from physical pain to mental or emotional imbalance.
