Walk into the European style coffee shop, at the newly opened Hotel Taj Mount Road for all day dining. It is aptly called “The Club House” in memory of the Madras Club that once stood on Club House Road. This coffee shop boasts of a large, lush green rain tree pat in the centre, gazing like a wizened old sentinel. The translucent roof lets in slivers of sunlight, bathing the coffee shop in hues of gold. The coffee shop has been built around the tree, echoing a “green” effort at hospitality.

The inter-active kitchen offers an oriental breakfast buffet and a food bazaar spoils you for choice. They also offer a sumptuous brunch over weekends. The emphasis is on fresh, wholesome food. Check out the Rotisserie and the wokery, where guests can choose the veggies or meats and interact with the chef to whip up foods of their choice. You can savour piping hot grills and stir-fried concoctions, served with a flourish. The delicacies include grilled Norwegian salmon, duck soup, authentic gazpacho, cold stone ice cream, citrus sorbets and Italian panna cotta. Hearty eaters will enjoy the buffet whilst the others could opt for an a la carte menu.
