| The Space and Rhythm of Leadership |

"The rhythm of leadership, the space of leadership" is a corporate
workshop-lecture for senior management, the space of leadership” will be lead by
George Thomas Kuriyan, a martial artist, meditation teacher and holistic healer
based in chennai, with a primary focus in the martial art of tai chi. It is a
warrior approach to problem solving, using strategic thinking by harnessing the
principles of sword, mind and body

The dance show explores the universal and the diverse elements between
Kuchipudi and Western Classical Dance. The common passion for Dance brought
French contemporary dancer Maia Bouthors and Kuchipudi dancers Vijay and
Haleem, and made them share their art. This innovative experiment lead them to
think differently with new movements and styles... This opened a window towards
wider possibilities which will never close again.

For this fusion, the music composer Mr. DSV Shastry has specially created an
original music, mixing the western sound of violins and Indian ragas
|

"Narikurava" (In Tamil ' Fox hunters ') are well known gypsies in Tamilnadu
they also called as "kuruvikarar"(sparrow hunters). There are about 364
indigenous communities are identified in Tamil nadu by the Anthropological
survey of India. Tamil is a mother tongue for almost 209 ethnic groups, rest of
them are migrated from Northern states of India such as Aravalli hill ranges,
Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Mewar etc. “Here they are identified as sparrow
hunters, beads sellers by their profession for the long period of time. But now
there are significant changes happening in the lives of “Narikuravas” in terms
of education and the standard of living.
The Photographer SIVA CHITHIRAI invites us to a photographical journey with the
Narikuravas.

Substance, Blind Image and Public Issue perform one after the other at
The Top Storey of the Alliance Francaise. They were part of the day - long
music festival ‘Fete de la Musique’ and they promise to rock you once more.

Substance play alternative, grunge rock and prefer to play their own
compositions, three of them are still in school and don’t get to play much of
shows. The rock bands of Chennai have a strong influence on them.

Blind Image is known for their crazy stage antics and high energy
performances. They can work up a riot anywhere they play and are known to have
interactive sessions with the crowd
|
|
Public Issue have affinity for "twisting the simple stuff", "groovifying
the time signatures", and "Funkifying it in its entirety", they hit a gold mine
with their ridiculously unexplainable genre!

A dazzling display of the musical world of the Roma, juxtaposed to the real
world they live in. This rich feature documentary celebrates the luscious music
of top international Gypsy performers and interweaves stirring real life tales
of their home life and social background. Shot by documentary icon, the film
takes place on location in Spain, Macedonia, Romania and India, as well as in
Europe and in the USA during the Gypsy Caravan concert tour created by World
Music Institute. The movie is directed by Jasmine Dellal

Paris, 1482. Today is the festival of the fools, taking place like each year in
the square outside Cathedral Notre Dame. Among jugglers and other entertainers,
Esmeralda, a sensuous gypsy, performs a bewitching dance in front of delighted
spectators. From up in a tower of the cathedral, Frollo, an alchemist, gazes at
her lustfully. Later in the night, Frollo orders Quasimodo, the deformed bell
ringer and his faithful servant, to kidnap Esmeralda. But when the ugly freak
comes close to her is touched by the young woman's beauty
